The name says it all. Jex was born when Jahvon (me) wanted to release the creator within himself (still me). The easiest way to do this was to adopt a persona that was a part and apart from me, my life, my personality, my present. I wanted to nurture the thing- the being that felt alive when art (music, poetry, literature, painting/sketching, phots, videos, movies, etc.) stole my sense of now. It is and always has been my escape.

From a child my first love was music. Everyday, every minute, no matter what. It was the thing that saved my faith in existence.

I was born in 1994. I began Jex Studios in March of 2020. With about two years of experience, I felt as though the hours and my product and capabilities became more than just a hobby. It is a passion.

I broke through in 2013 jotting down my first poem entitled "The Sun has Killed Us." A piece I will only keep in three places: my head, a piece of paper in an old notebook and within ancient notes within old emails. From there I became fluid with absorbing art, knowledge, people, trades, items and experiences. And to this day, all the art and books in the world will prove one thing: it's all worth it. Just keep going. There's always something.

Everyday I wake up with this projection that shoots beyond my comprehension. There's something big waiting for myself. And as a human, I know that there's something big waiting for you as well.
